Treatment Action Campaign Demos in NYC, DC on 8/24

In Economic Justice, International politics, International Public Health, International Trade, Laws & Regulation, Misc., New York City, Sexuality, US Politics on August 21, 2006 at 2:59 pm

From an ally working with TAC:

A protest will be held on Thursday, August 24th, in New York City in front of the Permanent Mission of South Africa to the United Nations. This is in solidarity with the Global Day of Action called by the Treatment Action Campaign of South Africa.
Other actions are happening at other South African government buildings in the U.S., and the NYC action will be similar to these. We will picket in front of South Africa’s Mission to the UN and then deliver a letter of demands. Thanks to Student Global AIDS Campaign for coordinating the media outreach and helping organize the D.C. action!

Time: 1:00 PM (please arrive a few minutes early), Thursday, August 24th

Location: 333 East 38th Street (between 2nd and 1st Avenues), NYC
